What is a haiku?
According to Poets.org, a haiku contains seventeen syllables written in a 5/7/5 count. That's right, it's basically a three-line poem so poetry's version of a short story. They're all about preserving a moment in time, a descriptive breath if you will.Off the Cuff Haiku
I'm not much of a poet and writing short is not my favorite - I prefer the long game - but here goes:Pulse bounces, flesh on fire
Sweat beads across the brow
Inhale, exhale, push.
